This year’s hottest rookie in the National League finally has an in-pack Rookie Card.
It’s Cody Bellinger and he’s one of the key cards in 2017 Bowman Platinum, which hits stores on July 5 in three formats — jumbo packs, blaster boxes and collector boxes.
The base set will consist of 100 cards printed on foilboard — a mix of veterans and rookies such as Aaron Judge and Andrew Benintendi. While there will be inserts — Bowman’s Next Generation, Rookie Radar and Platinum Presence — there will be a 100-card prospects set that will have a number of parallels. Those will be found as Purple, Green, Orange (collectors box), Royal Blue (jumbo packs), Black (blasters), Gold Foil and printing plates. Ten players in that set also will be short-printed — they are Austin Meadows, Adrian Moregon, Bo Bichette, Bradley Zimmer, Cody Sedlock, Dominic Smith, Isan Diaz, Justus Sheffield, Matt Manning and Ozzie Albies.
On the autograph front there will be 35 prospects signing for this one with MLB veterans also in the mix, too. Autographed inserts for this Walmart-exclusive product will include Tools of the Craft, Platinum Cut, Rookie Radar and Platinum Presence. There will be autos from Benintendi, Bryce Harper, Yoan Moncada, Kris Bryant and more. You can see the full checklist by clicking here.
