Leaf Trading Cards has revealed its plans for promo cards, wrapper redemptions and more at this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention and it’s got two of the biggest names in fighting facing off on its cardboard at the show.
Anyone who opens a box of Leaf cards at the booth will be entered into a daily drawing to win one of five Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor dual autograph cards made for the show.
While that daily drawing will be one for only a few, it’s not the only Mayweather-McGregor card to be found in Chicago.
Anyone who buys a VIP admission package will receive an unsigned card of the duo along with a card of long-time Los Angeles Dodgers announcer Vin Scully in their bag of bonuses.
Fans ripping boxes of 2017 Leaf Pop Century at the booth will receive a 1/1 Pop Century NSCC proof card, while those opting to open a 12-box case will get six 1/1 proofs and a 1/1 Century Signature card made for the show.
Hockey collectors opening a box of 2016-17 In The Game-used at the booth will get a Jack Eichel memorabilia card (with parallels) and those ripping a car will get a dual-auto card of Nolan Patrick and Nico Hischier.
The show is set for July 26-30 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., a Chicago suburb.
