What’s Buzz-worthy: Talk about a loaded blaster. I’m not sure if this is considered a Hot Box but it did deliver a couple more inserts/parallels than a second box to come during our Buzz 12 in 12 marathon to come later this month. About the only thing we didn’t pull here that would be reasonable to expect would be an Aaron Judge card or maybe something for the guy on the box, Mickey Mantle. About everything else was found here and this box impressed. There are autographs to be found in these boxes, too, but this one was jam-packed enough that it earned top honors without one. If you dug in on 2017 Donruss for its array of inserts and a 1990 Donruss re-do then you’re probably going to like this one a lot. You even get five cards per pack at retail, which is something that, historically, doesn’t happen with plastic-stock brands at retail so there’s even safety in numbers with this one. It was fun and it delivered. I need more.
