Buzz-worthy Bargain Break: 2016 Topps WWE Divas Revolution

If you hadn’t noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices this weekend and for the next week or so over on the mothership and they were dramatic enough that Buzz had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of them.

So much so here’s another of a few “picks” to come in the next few days.

The pick this time? A box of 2016 Topps WWE Divas Revolution.

This is a brand that was made for initial release only at retail and it includes one hit per pack — an autograph, Kiss Card or Relic — every time. Some boxes will also include a numbered parallel, while the rest of what’s inside these 51-card boxes is an assortment of inserts and base cards that chronicle the past and present WWE women’s division like we haven’t seen in a long, long time.

This is the first release of its type for Topps’ decade-plus run with WWE cards and it was among the company’s top-selling retail products last year, according to some in the know. Why? The autograph possibilities here include most of the big names you’d expect and then some. On the checklist are Lita, Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Carmella, Charlotte, Maryse, The Bella Twins, Sasha Banks, Asuka and plenty more. In fact, the number of notables not found on the checklist here is remarkably small.

Not every box will be a win — there are mat Relics that aren’t that flashy — but they can still deliver better than you might think for key names. Also helping out here? A number of parallel cards that help mix things up in boxes. (And, again, there is no “hobby” version — just these boxes.) This one’s worth ripping because there simply can’t be that many boxes left out there given its popularity last year.
