Orlando Magic fans can land free autographs from franchise great Nick Anderson on Saturday during an appearance in Central Florida.
Big League Cards in Casselberry, Fla., is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a free signing tomorrow beginning at 1 p.m.
“It is so exciting to have Nick Anderson join us at Big League during our 25th anniversary Golden Ticket event,” said Alan Narz, owner of Big League. “As part of the event, there will be free refreshments, prizes all day, great discounts … and we will also be providing customers with free Nick Anderson cards, while supplies last. I know it is going to be a really fun day. I remember watching Nick play when the Orlando Magic were in the NBA Finals. We are so appreciative for Nick coming here to help make our event so special.”
But that’s not all that will be happening at the shop.
While the event is scheduled for four hours, there will be the Golden Ticket drawing at 3 p.m. and everyone in attendance will be eligible to win a showcase full of prizes worth hundreds of dollars – with no purchase necessary.
Anderson played 13 seasons in the NBA — 10 with the Magic — averaging 14.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He ranks second in franchise history in scoring and also remains in the top five for rebounds and assists. The team drafted him 11th overall in the 1989 NBA Draft out of Illinois where he still ranks 34th in program history in scoring (1,172 points/17 ppg) — despite playing just two seasons for the Fighting Illini. On cardboard, he appears on fewer than 500 cards and just over 60 certified autograph cards. His Rookie Cards can be found in 1990-91 NBA Hoops, Fleer and Skybox.
Big League is located at 920 State Road 436 in Casselberry, Fla., an Orlando suburb. For more info, contact Narz at 407-834-2273, via email at email@example.com or via BigLeagueCards.com.
