What’s Buzz-worthy: After a year off, Elite returned with a revamped look that, to this collector, felt crisper and cleaner with a perfect array of parallels, diecut inserts, holofoil designs, etched foilboard, autographs and memorabilia cards. … You don’t see a lot of those in these retail boxes (regular price $30 but findable on the cheap in some discount bins) but what you do find is green. You get green rookies, green parallels and green inserts atop a guaranteed hit. If you land those big names from last year, you may find green in your pocket. These aren’t that bad if they’re discounted but would be riskier at full price given how few cards are inside. There’s a lot more safety in numbers if you rip hobby — and that may be the way to go. If not and you find these, they’re worth considering.
