What’s Buzz-worthy: I opted for another Optic blaster of this one and, ironically, once again pulled Holo parallels of the two Super Bowl QBs. That’s a good thing because the rest of the box was somewhat dry this time. The re-done 1990 Donruss design is one that works pretty well for being Optichromed and blaster boxes of this one are a decent alternative if you can’t swing the higher price for a hobby box with its guaranteed ink. This was arguably the top NFL product of last season, so there’s a lot of it out there singles-wise, but it’s still a pretty fun rip even when a box isn’t great like this one. (You can shop all types of Optic wax over on the Blowout mothership.) Will you always make money on these boxes? Maybe not, but it’s a fun rip when you find the right names — and you’ll undoubtedly find more of them in your box than in this blaster. Rip hobby and you’re guaranteed ink atop all the stars, inserts and parallels, too.
