A selection of colorful and nickname-adorned game-used jerseys from MLB Players Weekend are winding down on the auction block via MLB Auctions and you totally won’t be surprised to see who’s leading the way.
All Rise … it’s New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.
His jersey is tops among 770 jerseys from the weekend that are ending tomorrow — and it sits at $9,010 after a whopping 226 bids. Meanwhile, a number of jerseys are simply at their $250 starting bid — a number of them bidless — with not a lot of time to go. The second-highest jersey, if you’re wondering, is the jersey worn by “Cruz” — aka Giancarlo Stanton — and it’s at $3,100 after 40 bids.
Identifying who’s who — and which team is which — is a bit of a challenge at times on these but there’s no doubt that these will also be very unique gamers for someone who’s chasing particular players or teams and want something different.
These are also helping raise money for a cause as MLB said that “all net proceeds donated to the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation, a joint effort established in July 2015 by MLB and the MLBPA that is focused on improving the caliber, effectiveness and availability of amateur baseball and softball programs across the United States and Canada.”
