What’s Buzz-worthy: It’s nothing like ripping a hobby box of this one where there’s an autograph in every jumbo pack and way, way, way more rookies, but this is a release that’s got plenty of color and energy with strong photography and that gets it a nearly top grade with this collector. As said in that previous rip, it’s a 300-card set with the last 100 being new NFL rookies in college action photos but with their new NFL teams noted via logos and color scheme for the cards’ name bars. With strong photos, that works. This box delivered well with a memorabilia card (not every box, which is a bummer) and some decent names in the inserts and parallels. The rookie crop? Not that hot. To some collectors, there may be too much college cardboard here — so they’ll feast on NFL sets more this season — but if you like the college game and the NFL this one feels well-balanced and a highlight.
