What’s Buzz-worthy: The debut edition of Bowman High Tek includes as many as 10 patterns per card and ups the volume of autographs from one per box to a solid four. That alone, combined with some hot prospect ink, makes this one a winner as long as a box isn’t too pricey. Some patterns on basic cards can be as rare as one per case — one here just might be — but to simplify things as to what comprises a base set we grouped the basic cards into one group since we had no dupes. That left one numbered parallel and then the autos, helping simplify what we found here. (Check eBay if you want to dig into what’s what with the complicated Tek approach and cross-check that with the odds panel below.) All in all, this felt like a fun break and it would be something even more interesting to chew on if ripping in volume, but it looks and feels like one that can be rewarding with a single box or several.
