Here we are now, entertain us … this new toy just might do that.
Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain is among a trio of new Funko Pop! Rocks toys revealed on Monday and he’ll be found in a few ways once the new wave of toys arrives next year.
Joining him won’t be the other two members of the iconic 1990s band, but instead a pair of big stars from the past.
Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead and Elton John will be part of the new wave. Garcia will have just one toy for fans to chase, while John and Cobain will each have three.
The standard Cobain will be found in his striped green and gray shirt from the “Smells Like Teen Spirit” video, while a tan sweater and acoustic guitar as seen during the band’s iconic MTV Unplugged in New York show highlight the piece only found at FYE. The final version, a black sweater toy, will only be found at Hot Topic stores.
John’s standard toys will be a white suit and fedora for one and another will be a patriotic costume. A glittered version of the USA-styled costume toy will only be found at FYE stores.
Each of these new toys, the third wave in the Pop! Rocks series, will arrive in January.
