What’s Buzz-worthy: At first glance, this collector was bummed to see that the buyback box here was from 1992 — the first release ever made, which is one that’s mostly without autographs (they’re immensely rare) and heavy on the hairspray. But I ripped it anyway and it was an oddity that included 12 BenchWarmer Prisms inserts — not the norm (see the gallery) — but otherwise plenty of the standard stuff from that first release. The hits pack in this one? It shocked me with a two-per-case “Boy Beater” memorabilia card of former WWE star Torrie Wilson and then it backed that up with her autograph on another card and then an autograph from Kerri Kasem who I knew from her work with Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx on the Sixx Sense radio show. Atop that? An autograph from perhaps the biggest name in the product, former Attack of the Show! host and Playboy Playmate of the Year, Sara Jean Underwood. Throw in a signed promo card for former Baywatch cast member Brande Roderick and there were some pretty strong names in the pack. I’m busted a few of the Eclectic boxes for hits to build the autograph stash and this single pack outdid them all. At its price, it’s got potential — especially if your inner box is one that comes from releases with autographs and memorabilia cards. This one simply didn’t need that. It packed plenty in just the one pack.
