What’s buzz-worthy: For the first time since 2005, Topps Gallery returns to the diamond with a new crop of artistic takes on MLB’s stars with autographs that add to the chase.

The Basics: The collector’s boxes here carry a suggested retail price of $69.99, while there will also be blaster boxes with a four-card artist’s proof insert pack (only found there), and there also will be jumbo packs with 12 cards and two canvas parallels only found there. … There are more than 300 new pieces of art for this one with a 200-card base set done by Mayumi Seto. It will have 50 short-printed stars from the past and present included at the end of that set. Other parallels will include Private Issue (only in collector’s box), Green (/99), Blue (/50), Orange (/25) and 1/1 Red and printing plates. … On the insert front there will be Expressionists, Hall of Fame Gallery, Masterpiece and Heritage. … Hits here will include sketch cards, autograph parallels of both base cards and inserts as well as cut autos.
