What’s Buzz-worthy: Wow, what a box — especially considering I found it in a discount bin. Maybe it’s just my previous run with 1990 Donruss back in the day talking here, but I think this edition of Panini America’s Donruss NFL brand is a fun one and this box offers up a decent sampling of that with a taste of a different set — hobby packs — from a previous season as a bonus. This box included the two top Rookie Cards — Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott — as well as a super-rare numbered insert and a hit. Not every one of these boxes includes hits and the Yeldon impresses me more as it’s more of a personal collection tie for me — more on that and him later this week. Sure, there might be better boxes — but this one is very, very solid and gets a perfect grade from this collector.
Product Grade: A- (2016 Donruss)
Box Grade: A+
Fun Grade: A
