What’s buzz-worthy: A new NFL brand with a familiar look if you’re also a basketball collector arrives in January with plenty of hits per box and often multiple swatches per card, too, as part of a product that “showcases a variety of printing technologies to deliver distinct, jaw-dropping inserts.”

The Basics: Every box of this one will include a Capstones autographed memorabilia card with four swatches and an on-card sig and they’re all limited to no more than 99 copies. Capstones will have four parallels — Quartz, Granite, Marble and Onyx. … Also in the mix will be Number Ones inserts and One of a Kind Signatures, which will both be 1/1 creations. Also in play here for autographs will be Highly Revered (/99 max), Upper Tier Signatures, The Ascent, Difference Makers, Vertex Signatures, Apogee Autographs and Championship Ink (/25 max). … On the memorabilia side, there will be Vertex Materials, Portraits, Unbreakable, Domination, Closers, and Startups, which will have three types of prime inserts all limited to no more than 99 copies. … Packs will include eight cards and among the inserts will be Past & Present cards — other inserts and base cards were not teased. … Boxes carry a suggested retail price of $300 ($100 per pack).
