Ken Griffey Jr. signs new exclusive autograph deal with TRISTAR

TRISTAR has a new exclusive team member — and he’s “the greatest baseball player of all time” based on Hall of Fame voting.

It’s former Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds star Ken Griffey Jr. and a full line of autographed memorabilia from him is available now from the Houston-based company after the new deal was announced on Tuesday night.

Signed baseballs are the cheapest item in the 12-piece collection with a price of $249.99 along with his signed Hall of Fame postcard, while baseballs with a “HOF 16” inscription are $299. Signed 16-by-20 photos with inscriptions are $349, while bats are $499 and $599 depending on model. Rawlings bats are cheaper than the Louisville Sluggers.

Three signed replica jerseys — also with inscriptions — round out the offerings at $599 apiece. You can see them all here.

Griffey was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame last year, getting the nod on 99.3 percent of the ballots to set a new record. In 22 seasons, he was a 13-time All-Star who hit 630 home runs and drove in 1,836 RBI while hitting .284. He was the 1997 American League MVP and won 10 Gold Glove awards and seven Silver Sluggers, too, atop being the icon of a generation of collectors.

It’s his first autographed memorabilia deal in years as he had been an exclusive signer and spokesman with Upper Deck. He hadn’t had any Topps certified autograph cards until he signed a deal with the company in late 2011 to first appear on his first Topps autos in 2012.
