What’s Buzz-worthy: Don’t worry if you’re one of the few people on the planet who haven’t yet seen The Last Jedi — there are no serious spoilers in this one. This first series of cards is largely comprised of character cards, ships, landscape and scenes, and then a few frames you’ve seen from the end of The Force Awakens and in trailers for this one. Many of the card backs here are free of info for both the base cards and the inserts — again, to be free of spoilers — but that weakness is covered for with the types of cards here in my mind. I like the character cards (those do have some info) while the inserts are creative looks at the galaxy far, far away via artwork. The parallels of base cards are a nice touch here, though it would be nice to see some serial-numbered cards in the mix. The medallions are visually hit and miss (some medallions look better than others) but this box included one of the biggest characters on the checklist so that’s a plus. There are zero autographs to be found in blaster boxes — just parallels of medallions and base/inserts here — but for the price this is a safe rip to simply enjoy. If you want to chase ink, go the hobby route — there’s an autograph in every box.
