What’s Buzz-worthy: Here’s another discount bin find and it delivered OK with a one-in-26-pack Green and some good names overall but nothing super-flashy. This isn’t the best year for Gypsy Queen but it was the last year for mini parallels and that makes it a dramatically different rip than what we saw this year and better than the year before it. Interestingly, this one included just a single Rookie Card, while a previous box here included seven — so there can be some streaky surprises. Hobby boxes of this one guarantee two autos and two Relics — so they aren’t that cheap when you can find them — and that makes blasters a bit better option for those building sets or wanting a shot at something without going higher-end price-wise. This one is a definite improvement on 2015’s dark-bordered cards though I ultimately gave it the same grade as last year. If you like retro MLB sets and see them cheap, these boxes are one to consider.
