Topps releases 2018 Topps Series 1 baseball card checklist

We’re just two weeks away from the arrival of 2018 Topps Series 1 baseball cards and Topps has revealed the checklist of what will be included once the first set of the new season arrives.

We learned yesterday that will be more than 40 players getting the RC logo and nod in the set, which is set to arrive on Jan. 31, but now we know everybody else.

Click here to view the checklist. (A numbered checklist will be issued after Topps reveals card No. 1 in the set.)

Among the base set highlights will be three Aaron Judge base cards and Houston Astros World Series highlights cards. There also will be World Champion Relics cards for 12 players — Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, Dallas Keuchel, Evan Gattis, George Springer, Jose Altuve, Joe Musgrove, Josh Roddick, Justin Verlander, Ken Giles, Marwin Gonzalez and Yuli Gurriel. A signed version of the set will include Bregman, Correa, Gattis, Springer, Musgrove and Gurriel.

Walmart wax buyers will find a 30-card Kris Bryant Highlights set, while Target buyers will get a Derek Jeter set — and both will have autographed cards to chase. Another retail-only set will be Legends in the Making and it will spotlight young stars like Judge, Cody Bellinger, Bryant, Bryce Harper, Correa, Mike Trout and many others. There also will be a 30-card MLB Opening Day set only found at retail.

A Topps Now Top 10 set will be found here, too with seven of the 10 cards being of Judge with two Jeters and a Bellinger rounding things out. Players Weekend will get a nod in retail packs with patch cards coming for many notables from the weekend where teams’ uniforms got a bit of a Little League look. There will be Players Weekend patch autos, too, with a lineup that includes Corey Seager, Gary Sanchez, Ichiro Suzuki, Altuve, Bryant, Manny Machado, Trout and Rhys Hoskins along with many others — also retail-only.

Cut autograph highlights here will include Connie Mack, Cy Young, Dizzy Dean, Don Drysdale, George “High Pockets” Kelly, Hank Greenberg, Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente, Roger Maris, Satchel Paige, Ty Cobb and Ted Williams to name a few.

The Topps Reverence patch auto lineup is stacked with young and old players. Among them are Chipper Jones, Cal Ripken Jr., Don Mattingly, Suzuki, Mike Piazza, Nolan Ryan, Ryne Sandberg, Wade Boggs and Trout to name a few.
