What’s Buzz-worthy: Here’s another past Press Pass blaster found in a bargain bin for less than $10 and it delivered in rather average form with its hit but a decent number of names on the base cards and a Hall of Fame insert that’s listed as being one in every fourth box or so. Two packs here helps some vs. Press Pass Legends in that you get more cardboard, but the basic set here is relatively simple — perhaps too simple — with portraits on nearly every card. As said in a past break of this, there are a number of insert sets to be found here and there are autographs and memorabilia cards — with today’s biggest modern racers on the checklist along with some younger drivers, too. That makes this one a bit different than what you’ll find vs. other NASCAR blasters. Also different here? Press Pass used sticker autographs. The stickers actually look pretty good because they are oversized, meaning you still get big, bold autos. You also get them on some different and interesting auto-mem cards but they work. This one also has a different look from other releases around its time, so that’s a plus despite the repetitiveness. Hobby boxes (still available for now) include an auto and a memorabilia card every time but for less than $10 with a hit guaranteed, it’s worth ripping a blaster if you find it.
