What’s Buzz-worthy: Here’s another bargain-bin pick-up for half price. Certified once again included two inserts numbered to 99 copies, while the hit here this time was a dual-memorabilia card of the reigning Cup champ. Just like the previous box that included ink, nothing here will break the bank or rev things up into the red on eBay, but it definitely felt like a decent rip for less than $10. (The autograph box was definitely better for the price.) This box skewed a little toward old guys with the Immortals cards, but then its one parallel was a rookie, so that’s not bad. The Elliott insert is a nice find, though the other base cards beyond the Immortals are a little lacking in the name power. (It happens.) Unlike some of the other discount NASCAR blasters making the rounds at retail right now, this brand includes three packs to give you a little more cardboard than some others. If you find these at the sub-$10 level, they should be an instant rip just in case one includes something big — it seems like there are plenty of possibilities here just as we’re working our way toward the first 2018 wax.
