Black November Wave 7 is here … and here are five deals to consider

If you hadn’t noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now over on the mothership as BlowoutCards.com is in the midst its Black November sales now.

Wave 7 is here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases — and here are five boxes/cases that caught this collector’s eye.

2013-14 Panini Prestige NBA wax boxes and cases
This isn’t a high-end brand but it’s one that packs two autographs and two memorabilia cards in every box with roughly 20 insert cards, too. The key here? Giannis. His autographs are in here. His Rookie Cards are in here. He’s such a big deal, he doesn’t even need his long last name mentioned here. (Yes, I can spell it … Antetokounmpo.) If you land his auto, it can pay for at least a third, if not half of the case. This is a brand where you can also land the likes of Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant ink (among others) and there’s plenty of stuff in there — especially if you go with a volume buy with the low sale price.

Fast Break NBA repacks seem to deliver well — even for this collector

If you’re a bargain hunter who’s awaiting some new NBA cards to arrive but needs something right now and on the cheap, there’s one option out on the retail front that’s delivering pretty well for some collectors.

These Fast Break NBA repacks include three hobby packs for around $12 depending on the chain and they typically include one of each of the packs shown on the box — all prime places to find some Giannis Antetokounmpo Rookie Cards and autographs. And it’s been done, according to users over on the Blowout NBA breaks section of the forum.

Here’s one example that did OK on that front. Here’s one that did much, much better.

And here’s another. And another one. And a bulk buyer’s results.

But this is the 12-box bust that first got my attention with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar ink in the mix.

Out of sheer curiosity, this collector has bought two — at two different times and two different chains — and each has delivered an autograph. Keep reading to see the notable cards from the latest one.

Just because it’s not expensive doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the best releases of the year so far — and if you ask this collector Classics is a contender for just that. You’ll find one autograph per box and memorabilia cards atop the ink in others. There also is one buyback auto per 20-box case with some big names to be found. This one’s retro-styled but brand-new design (with a nod to 1983 Topps) is strong with some quirky variations and touches that also add to the oldschool feel. You can see more of those and a gallery in past Buzz stories here. Aside from the hits, the printing quality and design here on retro stock make this a fun rip no matter what. Had Buzz not jumped on some cases in Black November previously, this would be in the ol’ cart.
