One NASCAR surprise sparks another that could heat up Daniel Suarez’s already warm cardboard

Carl Edwards‘ surprise exit from NASCAR for the upcoming season puts the spotlight on his replacement and, in turn, is likely to warm things up for what cardboard there is for him.

Replacing Edwards in the No. 19 Toyota of Joe Gibbs Racing is Daniel Suarez, who’s already made a little history in recent months before becoming the newest rookie in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

Suarez was the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR national championship when he took home top honors in the Xfinity Series last year.

NASCAR‘s first season of cardboard from under the Panini America is rounding the track to completion and Turn 3 of the Cardboard 500 arrives on Wednesday.

It’s the foilboard phenom known as 2016 Panini Certified and it will include the likes of Chase Elliott and seven-time champ Jimmie Johnson among its signers.

Panini America’s NASCAR plans include strong retail presence

We’ve not yet seen the first images of cards from Panini America‘s four forthcoming NASCAR products, but the retail details for three of those products promise to rev the engines of racing fans who have waited a long time for new cardboard.
