Panini America’s latest nod to college football comes via a high-end brand arriving on Wednesday with some of the biggest names in the NFL game today — you know, guys like Ezekiel Elliott here — and big names from the past, too.
It’s 2016 Panini National Treasures Collegiate football and it will pack even more into every box than originally planned.
What: 2016 Panini National Treasures Collegiate baseball cards
Arrives: Jan. 4
Box basics: Six autographs or memorabilia cards and two base/parallels per eight-card box (four boxes per case)
What’s buzz-worthy: National Treasures presence goes collegiate for baseball with top young stars and legends from the past all in one place in what Panini says is smaller than Immaculate Collection Collegiate, which it previously said was “the smallest case run in company history.” So now this one is the rarest.

Box basics: Six autographs or memorabilia cards per eight-card box (four boxes per case)
What’s buzz-worthy: “The ultra high-end National Treasures Collegiate football returns in 2016 featuring short-printed, serial-numbered cards of rookies, superstars and legends from their college days with a vast array of premium memorabilia,” according to Panini. Overall, it doesn’t look like the formula has changed much though there are some new features.
