Leaf readies promo cards that pack some punch for this year’s NSCC

Leaf Trading Cards has revealed its plans for promo cards, wrapper redemptions and more at this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention and it’s got two of the biggest names in fighting facing off on its cardboard at the show.

Anyone who opens a box of Leaf cards at the booth will be entered into a daily drawing to win one of five Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor dual autograph cards made for the show.

While that daily drawing will be one for only a few, it’s not the only Mayweather-McGregor card to be found in Chicago.

Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. — it’s one of those what-if fantasy battles from the magazines of old that’s coming true.

UFC 202 is tonight and that means there are four new 2016 Topps Now UFC cards presently on pre-sale.

On Monday, the four cards will be updated with images from key matches tonight and a final 24-hour window will begin. The rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor should be the most-watched match and the most-bought card and it could set a record for Topps NOW UFC sales.

Topps and UFC announced on Thursday the launch of UFC Knockout 16 as its newest trading card app where fans can purchase and collect cards of their favorite fighters in digital form.
