The NFL’s top rookies — and their autographs — are available now via Panini Instant.
Panini America has a 24-card All-Rookie Team set showcasing top rookies from this past season and each set will include a bonus autograph card from one of a few notable names.
The NFL’s rookie class of 2016 is mostly in the offseason now but that doesn’t mean their action when it comes to cardboard is over.
In fact, 13 top guys have been busy signing for Panini America the last two days during the “NFLPA Rookie Closeout” as part of the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl‘s festivities. Ok, ok … it also means the playoffs.
But for many rookies and players who are important in the hobby and may not be playing this weekend, those final stats are one way to assess whether we should continue to sink our dollars into their cards. Two rookies of note in 2016, Dallas’ Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, will still be playing and they lead off our first of 13 Buzz Poll questions all about the NFL this year.

We’re a week away from a rematch between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers in the College Football Playoff — and we’re less than a week away from the newest college football cards from Panini America.
No, you haven’t missed any First Buzz previews — we’re talking about promo cards for those attending the big game.
Panini America’s latest nod to college football comes via a high-end brand arriving on Wednesday with some of the biggest names in the NFL game today — you know, guys like Ezekiel Elliott here — and big names from the past, too.
It’s 2016 Panini National Treasures Collegiate football and it will pack even more into every box than originally planned.
Panini Instant collectors have some Black Friday cards to chase, too.
Panini America‘s real-time card platform will have a pair of options for collectors beginning at 2 p.m. Central on Friday.
One is a more traditional made-to-order card set and the other includes autographs.
What: 2016 Panini Plates & Patches football cards
Arrives: Feb. 8
Box basics: One on-card autograph or rookie patch auto, one patch card and one printing plate per five-card box (12 boxes per case).
What’s buzz-worthy: Plates & Patches returns after a five-year break with a 1/1 card in every box while also carrying a lower-end suggested retail price for a brand that has every card limited to no more than 99 copies.

We’re less than a week away from the latest high-end football card brand from Panini America and it’s one that looks like it has a pretty high standard.
One might call it impeccable.
The brand is 2016 Panini Impeccable and it will pack some serious punch with metal cards, autographed memorabilia cards and standard autographs — and plenty of on-card autographs.
The Atlanta Falcons’ 48-33 win over the reigning NFC champs on Sunday had plenty of offensive fireworks, but two players stood above the rest. Matt Ryan‘s 503 passing yards and 
four TDs were impressive but what was even more impressive is that Julio Jones was responsible for 300 of them.
Jones’ 12-catch day came 37 yards short of setting an NFL record for most receiving yards in a game with his 300 being the sixth-best game in league history. Willie “Flipper” Anderson set the mark with 336 in a game against the Saints back in 1989.
Not a bad day … especially for a guy who hasn’t signed a heavy amount of autographs in his six years as a pro.

The new greats and the past greats are both part of the forthcoming Panini America promo card packs that will be available at this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention.
On-card autographs from this year’s rookie class and the 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction class will be stamped and included in the wrapper redemption packs, according to a company announcement released on Thursday.
After a year on the bench, Panini America has revived the Elite brand with a new wave of new looks for the brand best known for its foilboard.
Since its arrival yesterday, collectors have been finding plenty of on-card ink, plenty of new looks and some EPIX-styled looks that the Elite brand hasn’t seen before on a checklist that includes stars from the past and present as well as the new crop of NFL rookies.
You won’t have to wait until the cards arrive for the first piece of the action from this year’s NFLPA Rookie Premiere as long as you head on over to the auction block.
How?
Jerseys, cleats and gloves used by the league’s top collectable rookies who attended the event last month are currently up for sale via Fanatics Auctions.
Take a simple array of variation types to enhance a 1980s-inspired design for a checklist loaded with past, present and future greats and then add in some autographs, buybacks and other surprises for a bargain price and you get 2016 Panini Classics.
The retro-inspired modern release arrived today with an autograph in every 14-pack box and a memorabilia in every other box.
The NFLPA Rookie Premiere is here and that means more than 40 newly drafted NFL players are already signing, signing and signing some more before donning their pro uniforms for trading cards.
Among those who have signed so far is Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry, who just might have the most-dynamic autograph of the bunch.
With the clock ticking down to this year’s edition of the NFL Draft, Panini America is readying its cardboard efforts made just for the event and the interactive sideshow that has become Draft Town.
The company has produced a 10-card set and a 5-by-7 set of three cards that also can be obtained at the event.
The headline says it all for 2016 SAGE Autographed football cards.
SAGE revealed on Tuesday that it is “adding broader content” while noting that all of the base cards are now printed on premium stock and that there will be 24 standard autographed cards and at least one dual autographed card in every box of this hobby-only brand set to arrive on May 25.

What’s buzz-worthy: Leaf offers “the introduction of Clear technology autographed cards with the goal of improving the overall card grade quality for its customers” in this one while including the biggest autographs from players in the NFL Draft. He may not end up being a top-10 pick, but he’ll definitely be a target of collectors.
Alabama junior running back Derrick Henry is headed to the NFL with a formal announcement to come on Friday. This comes on the heels of a Heisman-winning campaign where he led the Crimson Tide to a national championship and set single-season and career rushing records for the program.
Henry is rated as the second-best running back by ESPN behind Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott in a draft that, based on some projections, may not be super-stocked with collector-friendly offensive players (QBs, RBs, WRs) among the first-rounders.
