Buzz Poll: Assess the 2016 NFL season with our latest questions

dak-prescott-ezekiel-elliott-2016-panini-infinity

The regular season is now over in the NFL and that means one thing — we now have final stats.

Ok, ok … it also means the playoffs.

But for many rookies and players who are important in the hobby and may not be playing this weekend, those final stats are one way to assess whether we should continue to sink our dollars into their cards. Two rookies of note in 2016, Dallas’ Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, will still be playing and they lead off our first of 13 Buzz Poll questions all about the NFL this year.

Sunday Superstars: Week 7 icons Jay Ajayi, Jeremy Hill, Julio Jones & more

jay-ajayi

Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi racked up 214 rushing yards on 28 carries Sunday against Buffalo to walk his way into some elite NFL company.

He became just the fourth player in the history of the league to rush for 200 yards in back-to-back games. The others? O.J. Simpson, Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams. Not bad company for the former Boise State star who’s in his second season after being a fifth-round draft pick last year.

His cards are relatively available with more than 1,500 different cards made since last year and more than 750 of those being certified autographs. He has 40 Rookie Cards in a number of brands from Panini America and Topps last year.

Sunday Night Superstars: Week 2 standouts include Cam Newton, Corey Coleman & plenty more

corey-coleman

The end result was the same old, same old for the Cleveland Browns, but how they got there wasn’t the same.

The quarterback looked good in the first half, the running game looked decent and rookie Corey Coleman made it look impressive early on. The rookie out of Baylor had only five catches, but they went for 104 yards and two touchdowns before the Browns browned as usual. Last week Coleman had just two catches but one was for 58 yards as part of a 69-yard day so we have seen so far that this former Baylor standout will be a receiver to watch this year when it comes to big plays that translate into big attention on cardboard.

Buzz List: Five NFL players to watch in Week 15

CamNewtonAs the season winds down (and fantasy season’s like Buzz’s are flat-out over), some players are in situations where it’s just about tallying their stats to see how it ends. Others have postseason potential, but for the stars on those teams — like the undefeated Panthers and QB Cam Newton — the expectations are set and they are set high.

With an undefeated team, it goes without saying that Newton is a player to watch this week and you should’ve been eyeing his Rookie Cards from 2011 for some time now.

Keep reading for four more players to watch …
