If you’re a certain age, you may remember Little Golden Books, which are beginning readers’ first licks at the literary world.
They’ve been around since the 1940s — and are still around today — but one illustrator has created a new take on these stories with a series of prints and a book that collects his past works all in one.
His name is Joey Spiotto and the Los Angeles-based artist is big on Storytime.
New information has come to light, man.
Fans of The Big Lebowski and other Hollywood creations from the big and small screens may have an extra reason to visit the toy aisle or thanks to GreenLight Collectibles and its Hollywood line that has been bringing vehicles from the reel world to us all.
Ok … these specialty toys aren’t exactly new — they’ve been going since roughly 2011 — but there have been as many as 15 series so far and Walter Sobchak’s van was among them and that’s enough that Buzz needed to take a look.
And we’ve found plenty more cool stuff.

There was big 1980s nostalgia news this week as the original poster art for E.T. sold for big bucks via Heritage Auctions.
The 1982 Steven Spielberg film made more than $359.1 million at the box office, and while the art didn’t quite fetch that much, it’s still quite impressive.
The first trailer for Ghostbusters arrived today in advance of its arrival in July. Check out this reboot of the 1980s classic with a new cast including Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth and then take our poll. Quentin Tarantino‘s latest film, The Hateful Eight, may rank near the bottom of the legendary director’s box-office totals, but the cast of eight memorable characters in the violent and frigid Western film just might be heating things up soon.
Where? In the collectibles realm.
They may just look like boxer shorts, but they aren’t just any boxer shorts.
They’re the boxer sports worn by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and they can be yours — for a price.
No, really.
Fans of Funko Pop! figures may not see a change in their seemingly always-arriving collectibles, but there was a change in ownership for the Everett, Wash.-based company that makes them earlier this month.
Funko, which was founded in 1998, was acquired by ACON Investments for an undisclosed sum. Its CEO, Brian Mariotti, and management team will continue to lead operations.
“We are excited to be partnering with Brian and the entire Funko team,” said Ken Brotman, Founding Partner of ACON, in a prepared statement. “Funko has established itself as a fore-runner in the pop culture space and we look forward to building value in a business that is very well positioned for continued growth.”
