Panini America revealed that new Basketball Hall of Famer and former Philadelphia 76ers great Allen Iverson will be in attendance at tonight’s event in Atlantic City, N.J. He’s the sixth star announced for the event.

Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor is the latest guest for the Panini America VIP Party that’s set for Saturday night in Atlantic City, N.J. He’s the fifth guest revealed by the company and only one announced (so far) on Friday.

Panini America revealed its second VIP Party guest of the day on Thursday and it is former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen. He’ll be on hand Saturday night to meet collectors at the company’s party.

Panini America will guarantee that with the addition of former Seattle Sonics star Shawn Kemp as the latest guest at the company’s much-watched VIP Party.

Today’s the day that Panini America‘s first NASCAR product arrives in the form of 2016 Panini Prizm, and one of the biggest newcomers in that set is Chase Elliott, who’s the leading candidate for the Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year award.
Today’s also the day for the opening of the National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City, N.J., too.
And how do those two things cross paths? Elliott will be one of the guests at Panini’s VIP Party on Saturday night — he’s the first guest confirmed by the company.

On-floor preparation for this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention has begun inside the Atlantic City Convention center. What you see here is the view of what will become Booth No. 1220, the home of BlowoutCards.com for the show, which begins Wednesday evening and runs through Sunday evening.
But that’s not the only early scene seen so far …
The 37th National Sports Collectors Convention is nearly here and, while Atlantic City, N.J., will be the center of the collecting universe, we have to note that the BlowoutCards.com booth (No. 1,220) will be the epicenter of the show at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Why?
Well, some of those boxes — and cases — in our 18 pallets of stuff out on the show floor are part of the largest Blowout giveaways yet in our history at the show. (And show veterans should already know how big they’ve been in the past … this time we’re stealing the show.)
The National Sports Collectors Convention is nearly here and the months of preparation are culminating in the show of all shows for sports collectors the next five days in Atlantic City, N.J.
There will be plenty to see, plenty to do and plenty to buy and Buzz has been watching the developments the whole way. More than 450 lots of memorabilia from the collection of a former Alabama Crimson Tide and Oakland Raiders great are headed into collectors’ hands soon as they are now on the auction block.
Trophies, game-used memorabilia and more from the collection of Ken Stabler, who will be posthumously inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 6, are up for grabs after his family decided to part with them. “Snake” died in July 2015 after a brief battle with colon cancer.
“In honoring Ken Stabler’s requests, his family has chosen to make items from his personal career collection available to the fans of Mr. Stabler’s career through Pristine Auction,” read a release from the Phoenix-based company. “It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity … to obtain a piece of sports memorabilia owned by legendary Oakland Raiders quarterback and 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Ken Stabler.”
