2016 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball hobby box
You may not recognize the uniforms here but they’re creative — and wearing them are names you should know with guys like Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger and Rhys Hoskins on the checklist. The crop of players here is pretty strong and so is the signers list in a product that takes the 1967 Topps design back to the minor leagues. Atop the signers list that includes Dansby Swanson, Andrew Benintendi, Alex Bregman, Bryce Harper and Mike Trout for starters, they’re all on-card autographs here. A couple of boxes should get you a basic base set and a number of the inserts that this one includes. It’s a simple but fun break and you can see a sample box here.

We’re less than two weeks away from the arrival of 2016 Panini Flawess and its game-changing high-end potential being unleashed upon the hobby.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t yet get a sneak peek of what’s coming.
Panini America is busy readying those silver briefcases with baseball cards for the first time, and they’ll include 10 cards per box (or 20 total if you go the sealed case case route).
It’s the fourth day of May and, of course, that’s got a Star Wars tie. (If you don’t get it, you probably haven’t seen the movies.)
As part of this holiday of sorts Topps has created the 2016 Topps Star Wars Tribute baseball set — a series of prints and jumbo cards in the style of the memorable early Star Wars stickers made by the company way back in 1977.
An early version of the 2016 Topps Series 1 baseball checklist arrived on Tuesday and that first glimpse offered a few surprises before its arrival on Feb. 3.
But there are also undoubtedly more still to come.
The First Pitch cards showing celebrities making ceremonial appearances? They’re not on the checklist but are confirmed as still coming. There’s no note of variations or short-printed cards for the release — we all know those are coming. They always do.
