One of pro wrestling’s biggest names of the 1990s and beyond will be signing autographs at this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention.

The WWE star — and also a former University of Georgia football star and former Atlanta Falcon — was revealed as one of the newest signers for this summer’s showcase show set for July 26-30 in Chicago.
Today should be the busiest day of this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention inside the Atlantic City Convention center after a pair of busy days you can see in a gallery here and also in a gallery here. (Oh and there was plenty of prep and a preview night that you can see here, too.)
Now it’s time for Day 4, which has the largest slate of signers and plenty of action. Joe Namath, for example, is set to sign at 11 a.m.

On-floor preparation for this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention has begun inside the Atlantic City Convention center. What you see here is the view of what will become Booth No. 1220, the home of BlowoutCards.com for the show, which begins Wednesday evening and runs through Sunday evening.
But that’s not the only early scene seen so far …
The 37th National Sports Collectors Convention is nearly here and, while Atlantic City, N.J., will be the center of the collecting universe, we have to note that the BlowoutCards.com booth (No. 1,220) will be the epicenter of the show at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Why?
Well, some of those boxes — and cases — in our 18 pallets of stuff out on the show floor are part of the largest Blowout giveaways yet in our history at the show. (And show veterans should already know how big they’ve been in the past … this time we’re stealing the show.)
The National Sports Collectors Convention is nearly here and the months of preparation are culminating in the show of all shows for sports collectors the next five days in Atlantic City, N.J.
There will be plenty to see, plenty to do and plenty to buy and Buzz has been watching the developments the whole way. We’ll have galleries of images from the show floor and a few nuggets here and there in the coming days but there’s already been plenty written leading up to the show that you can all find right here.

Topps is bringing Bowman promo cards to The National.
The company revealed on Tuesday its plans for the show set for Aug. 3-7 in Atlantic City, N.J., and its wrapper redemption will include a prism foil Bowman Chrome set that has 50 players — a mix of past, present and future players that includes Kris Bryant, Bryce Harper, Hank Aaron, Mike Trout, Yoan Moncada and Alex Bregman.
And there will be autographs to be found, too.

This year’s Panini VIP party at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City, N.J., will have a Super twist — as in SuperVIPs that get plenty of extras — but BlowoutCards.com wants to help others get in on the action without heading to the coast.
Details have not yet been revealed for the party, but only a handful of SuperVIP tickets will be available.
Each SuperVIP will get 800 silver wrapper redemption packs. They will get double the Gold VIP packs, too, a number that remains elusive (but it will be impressive). They will get two VIP Black Boxes. The second reveal from Panini America in regards to its National Sports Collectors Convention cardboard arrived on Thursday with a look at the company’s wrapper-redemption set.
It will be made up of stars and rookies from four sports — baseball, football, basketball and soccer. There will be autographs, there will be memorabilia — but those are for a later time.
Right now, it’s all about the basics.
