If you’re a certain age, you may remember Little Golden Books, which are beginning readers’ first licks at the literary world.
They’ve been around since the 1940s — and are still around today — but one illustrator has created a new take on these stories with a series of prints and a book that collects his past works all in one.
His name is Joey Spiotto and the Los Angeles-based artist is big on Storytime.

When it comes to autographs in the sports world, there are plenty of ways that collectors and the autograph industry itself has helped commodify ink.
In other words, there are a number of common items that are commonly signed that help us all figure a common value that we’d expect to pay or expect to get if we have to sell something we own. Jerseys, balls, helmets, cards, photos — there are a lot of ways to collect sports autographs.
But for celebrity autographs, it’s a lot less complicated as the 8-by-10 photo is arguably the most-commonly solid piece across the whole spectrum of television, movies and others of note who we might find, say, at a comic book convention or other similarly organized signing session. Not all films have massive toy lines, not all celebs have book deals and TV shows often don’t have posters you can find all that easily.

What’s Buzzing Today: Impressive breaks from around the collecting world.
It was 25 years ago this week that the comic book world changed a bit with the formation of Image Comics.
The new company brought us Spawn, The Savage Dragon, WildC.A.T.s. and Youngblood in its earlier days and The Walking Dead in later years.
As part of that anniversary, comic book shops around the country are celebrating Image Comics Day on Wednesday with some new arrivals from the company, which was created by Erik Larsen, Jim Lee, Rob Liefeld, Todd McFarlane, Whilce Portacio, Marc Silvestri and Jim Valentino.

New information has come to light, man.
Fans of The Big Lebowski and other Hollywood creations from the big and small screens may have an extra reason to visit the toy aisle or thanks to GreenLight Collectibles and its Hollywood line that has been bringing vehicles from the reel world to us all.
Ok … these specialty toys aren’t exactly new — they’ve been going since roughly 2011 — but there have been as many as 15 series so far and Walter Sobchak’s van was among them and that’s enough that Buzz needed to take a look.
And we’ve found plenty more cool stuff.

What’s Buzzing Today: Error pulls, big pulls, Star Wars pulls, elusive pulls and more.
Topps’ first high-end brand for one of TV’s biggest shows is here and the 2016 Topps The Walking Dead Survival Box will pack plenty of ink alongside the gore of the long-running hit.
Top stars like Norman Reedus have signed on here and there will be autographs of Jeffrey Dean Morgan whose redemptions are inserted into boxes as bonus hits.
But they aren’t alone.
Topps’ first high-end brand for one of TV’s biggest shows is nearly here and the 2016 Topps The Walking Dead Survival Box will, in some cases, include more than what was previously promised.
There will be autographs of Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Negan and the redemptions for his autographs — which are already signed — are inserted into boxes as bonus hits since packaging already was completed for the product.
If you hadn’t noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices now over on the mothership as BlowoutCards.com’s Black November Wave 10 hits today.
Many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases — and here are five boxes that caught this collector’s eye.
2013 Panini Beach Boys hobby box
This box is admittedly probably off the radar of many collectors but that doesn’t mean that it can’t deliver. In fact, these can deliver well if you pull the right ink. This Brian Wilson card here? It sold for more than you might think and he’s not alone when it comes to autos in there that have topped the $100 mark. Like the Panini Country release, there are non-traditional collectors chasing cards here to build sets or chase stuff they like with no regard for what something “should” cost based on what it is or its scarcity. Meanwhile, they may not know where to buy boxes — or not want to. Those things can lead to some surprising results — and that’s not the only surprise. Check out the price on this box.
Sometimes you just get sidetracked by an email.
That was the case Friday morning when the latest images from Sideshow Toys spotlighting its newest (and some past) Premium Format figures arrived in Buzz’s inbox.
They’re premium in size — in the case of Deadpool here 24 inches tall and 14 pounds — and premium in price. But, most importantly, they’re premium in appeal as they are ridiculously detailed in their varying forms.
Topps‘ first card set for one of TV’s biggest shows is here.
The 2016 Topps The Walking Dead Season 5 trading cards have arrived and there are two hits in every single hobby box with some of the big names in tow and others still to come in future releases.
A sampling of that can be seen in our gallery.

But not all of them, leaving something more for forthcoming releases that will be higher-end.

Topps on Saturday released its newest online-only offering of cards for the hit TV show and it’s for a pair of “In Memoriam” cards for two characters who didn’t last past the newest episode.

The company tweeted about the series on Sunday night, teasing a forthcoming announcement, which comes on the heels of its recent deal to acquire the trading card rights to another AMC staple, The Walking Dead, which also was based on a long-running comic.

Is there one non-sports autograph you’d want to own? If you’re a fan of anything beyond the sports world, there’s probably one name that comes to mind first.
In some cases — Star Wars and Star Trek, for example — a personality may have plenty of autographs, but in others there may be just one.
Or none at all.

What’s Buzzing Today: The Walking Dead & Topps, Ghostbusters, Topps Heritage, big NFL pulls.
The chatter on Twitter started trickling out just around midnight and the confirmation came this morning.
Topps is taking on The Walking Dead.
Who’ll be signing for the two series of The Walking Dead cards coming this month and next month from Cryptozoic?
Well that question has been partially answered.
One of the most-dominant television shows in history is so big that a single season gets two sets of trading cards and that first wave arrives next month packing plenty of action and highlights as well as plenty of ink.
And that’s just on the sketch cards.
Based on box office totals for Deadpool — $677.7 million and counting worldwide — there might be a few people looking for a piece of The Merc with a Mouth.
Sure, there are 25 years of comic book appearances to be had — and there are key issues that also can be found as graded books and as original art — but maybe there’s something else that you might want without the stresses of storage or breaking the bank.
That’s where Rob Liefeld comes in.
The Walking Dead returns on Sunday with the midseason premiere and Entertainment Weekly is capitalizing on the demand for the hit show with six covers for all of the zombie-loving collectors to eat up.
There’s a twist though with how somebody can collect them all.
When it comes to the sports world, there’s plenty of licensed merchandise for fans to use in their daily lives when they’re not focused on baseball, football or whatever their pastime may be.
But why can’t it be more creative? Sure, maybe the sports world doesn’t translate as well to fun merch like what you see here — it’s is one of a few items found via thinkgeek.com.
What is it? It’s a USB car charger — but what it really is a Flux Capacitor that will transform your vehicle into a time machine. Or something. Keep reading to see a few more cool things that can geek up your day …
