What’s Buzz-worthy: Blaster boxes at Walmart (where this box was found) include Pink parallels and a guaranteed hit but this box fell a bit short on the player selection. (That or this collector was spoiled by a past Mega Box break.) Optic is heavy on Rookie Cards via the Rated Rookies subset and a heavy standard card presence while the re-done 1990 Donruss design is one that works pretty well for being Optichromed. The Mega Boxes were pricier (and are long gone at retail) but you may find hangers or blaster boxes at retail and they’re a decent alternative if you can’t swing the higher price for a hobby box with its guaranteed ink. (You can actually find all types of Optic wax over on the Blowout mothership.) The rookie class here is a good one and that’s part of the big chase and this collector thinks that this brand will be one seen as a landmark release in years to come.
