We’re just two weeks away from the arrival of 2018 Topps Series 1 baseball cards and Topps has revealed the checklist of what will be included once the first set of the new season arrives.
We learned yesterday that will be more than 40 players getting the RC logo and nod in the set, which is set to arrive on Jan. 31, but now we know everybody else.
The burlap is back one last time this year and there’s just one question on the minds of many.

What’s buzz-worthy: Collectors can turn back the clock to 1969 once again with the arrival of Heritage, which continues with the what’s-old-is-new-again tradition that began back in 2001.

Some of the biggest autographs in WWE history are inside packs for the first time and there are a number of inclusions in the release that are unique to the brand and appear to set the stage for another update set later in the year.

Although the MLB Network has its share of Hall of Famers like John Smoltz, “Rookie Cards” for some of the other names who bring you the highlights begin arriving on Feb. 1 in packs of 2017 Topps Series 1 baseball cards.
A 10-card release begins a set that will continue in Series 2 and Update later this year and this series will include Lauren Shehadi (RC), Kevin Millar, Mike Lowell, Greg Amsinger (RC), Ryan Dempster, Sean Casey, Harold Reynolds, Dan Plesac and Smoltz as well as an MLB Tonight card.
A number of that crew’s members already have cards as players (click to view a Buzz archives piece) — but there will be several debuts in the forthcoming releases. Meanwhile, a number of them haven’t had many autographs and all nine found in Series 1 will have ink.

What’s buzz-worthy: The Donruss brand returns for another season with a new-but-1990s-retro look, more from The Famous San Diego Chicken and three hits in every single hobby box.

Topps’ first high-end brand for one of TV’s biggest shows is nearly here and the 2016 Topps The Walking Dead Survival Box will, in some cases, include more than what was previously promised.
There will be autographs of Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Negan and the redemptions for his autographs — which are already signed — are inserted into boxes as bonus hits since packaging already was completed for the product.
The wait for new hockey cards from Upper Deck is less than two weeks away but the mystery of what’s to come is now closer to over.
