Whether it was a surprise or not, the deal is done — and now the wait begins for cardboard.
Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut on Sunday night at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in Philadelphia. After the main event, the first women’s Royal Rumble match, Rousey marched to the ring wearing a new “Rowdy” Roddy Piper-inspired shirt and a coat given to her by the late WWE icon’s son to make it known she’s headed to WrestleMania.
“This is my life now,” Rousey told ESPN. “First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt. When I first met with Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.'”
When it comes to cards, Rousey has been among the most-popular female athletes out there and her autographs are among the most sought-after in UFC, despite her last match being back in 2016. The wait for her new WWE cards, may not be long, though, thanks to one detail seen on Sunday.

Buzz is a collector who has to be selective — can’t collect everything but would probably want to — so that’s why a day like Black Friday is important.
It’s a time for me to try stuff I normally wouldn’t — or try something I’ve always eyed but never done simply because the price is right.
Blowout’s Black Friday Doorbusters have been revealed and there are some serious bargains to be found along with the previous waves of Black November discounts on other brands beyond these. Keep your eyes on this forum link to get the latest of what’s been unleashed on Friday — and what’s back in stock, too.
Keep reading for my picks on the deals that would get my attention first once those Friday prices kick in — and then check out the full list here to see the prices.
If you hadn’t noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now over on the mothership as BlowoutCards.com is in the midst its Black November sales now.
Wave 7 is here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases — and here are five boxes/cases that caught this collector’s eye.
2013-14 Panini Prestige NBA wax boxes and cases
This isn’t a high-end brand but it’s one that packs two autographs and two memorabilia cards in every box with roughly 20 insert cards, too. The key here? Giannis. His autographs are in here. His Rookie Cards are in here. He’s such a big deal, he doesn’t even need his long last name mentioned here. (Yes, I can spell it … Antetokounmpo.) If you land his auto, it can pay for at least a third, if not half of the case. This is a brand where you can also land the likes of Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant ink (among others) and there’s plenty of stuff in there — especially if you go with a volume buy with the low sale price.

What’s Buzzing Today: Nothing but breaks as we ready for the weekend.
It’s been a few months since we’ve seen Topps Now take on UFC, but it’s back in the Octagon.
And it’s got some extra punch today as the offerings include autographs from one of the sport’s biggest stars who made his own comeback victory on Saturday night — Georges St-Pierre.

Wave 3 is here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases — and here are five boxes/cases that caught this collector’s eye.
2016 Panini National Treasures racing hobby box
This one is as high-end as it gets for NASCAR and includes a few notables from beyond stock cars, too, making this bargain price even sweeter. Every box includes a book and has five other hits along with a base or parallel card — and it’s one that this collector has dug in on pretty hard via BlowoutTV group breaks. Check out that story here and then check out the price on this one. (There are cases, too.) Land the right names with some rarer memorabilia or ink combos and your box is covered. Even without the dollar signs in mind, this one is a fun rip with its stacked checklist that’s rich in stars from the past and present.

2015 Bowman’s Best baseball hobby box
There are more than a few Bowman boxes up for grabs with lower prices as part of this wave — the first of several to come between now and Black Friday — but this one has a pretty strong discount (limit eight boxes per person) and potential. The mini-box format allows you to share a box with someone else if you want, too, with each half-box including six packs and and two autos. Among the signers here? Carlos Correa, Kris Bryant, Dansby Swanson, Rafael Devers, Mike Trout, Andrew Benintendi, Bryce Harper, Byron Buxton and many others. You can do very well here with a little luck.

Fans of the UFC and MMA may see a familiar face if they tune in to tonight’s final of the WWE‘s Mae Young Classic in Las Vegas.
It’s Shayna Baszler, a MMA veteran who has a 15-11 record and is one of Ronda Rousey‘s friends that made up The Four Horsewomen. Now, Baszler is perhaps primed for a run in a WWE ring and finds herself in the championship match of a women’s tournament that the company has scoured the global independent scene to build.
Because of her stint with UFC, Baszler does have some cardboard already as does her opponent tonight, Kairi Sane, a star from Japan.
“Money” ink is available now.

Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. — it’s one of those what-if fantasy battles from the magazines of old that’s coming true.
And with a pair of upcoming card releases there will be a battle on cardboard, too.
While we get to wait for the fight on Aug. 26 — one that should be a promotional and pop culture spectacle — we’re getting the first autographs for Mayweather soon to go with McGregor’s limited and pricey cardboard already on the market.
