Buzz Poll: Win or lose at UFC 207, what’s next for Ronda Rousey?

When Ronda Rousey enters the Octagon for UFC 207 on Friday night in Las Vegas it will have been one year, one month and 16 days since her career trajectory changed from unprecedented dominating badass with mainstream cameos everywhere to a rattled ex-champ with a 12-1-0 record.

Her cardboard is still arguably the hottest in the hobby — at least based on asking prices — but we all know it’s not the same as it had been when the steamroller got shocked. A win against Amanda Nunes might get the gravy train rolling back to its super-marketed hype levels — you know, something to justify all that super marketing that’s been done in her return.

But … what’s next for her cardboard if she loses again?

Topps Now UFC pre-sale starts with five fight-based cards (updated)

Update: A fourth card for the new Daniel Cormier vs. Anderson Silva fight has been added as has a Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt card.

With the UFC 200 main event picture a bit more murky with the news concerning Jon Jones, Topps’ launch of Topps Now for UFC marches on.

A trio of cards that will reflect three bouts from Saturday night’s action are now up for grabs via Topps’ site on a pre-order basis.

Topps readies Topps Now cards & promos for Fan Fest & UFC 200

CormierJones200Topps Now is coming to the Octagon — and it won’t be the only new cardboard from UFC 200.

The company revealed Tuesday that it’s launching the real-time cardboard service for MMA fans starting with the event tomorrow. Images of those cards will be available when they launch.

“UFC is the perfect fit to incorporate into the Topps Now program immediately,” said Jeff Heckman, Topps’ Director of New Product Development & eCommerce Marketplace. “Every weekend there are great fights happening; we have seen a number of title changes over the last several months. Topps Now is the best way to capture these moments and give UFC fans a collectible they will treasure.”
