It’s a good thing, but it’s also bound to create some challenges for smaller dealers or event organizers in the state who now have to keep track of all inked items, document them and have guarantees saved away for years.

Sunday Superstars: Week 3 standouts include Marvin Jones, Dak Prescott, Carson Wentz & more

s-l1600

Six catches, 205 yards and two touchdowns. That was the stat line for Detroit Lions receiver Marvin Jones Jr. on Sunday during a 34-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

How good was that career night? As a rookie with the Bengals in 2012, it took him 11 games and 18 catches to total 201 yards — and he only had one touchdown back then. Even last season he had just 816 yards receiving on 65 catches. (Welcome to Detroit.)

Seemingly out of nowhere, he has back-to-back 100-yard games — that should be good for his cardboard, which is pretty plentiful from that rookie season.

Golf world loses one of its biggest legends as Arnold Palmer dies at 87

arnold-palmer-pro-set-upper-deck

“Arnie’s Army” is in mourning this evening.

Golf icon Arnold Palmer has died at age 87, leaving behind a legendary career and countless fans along with decades of memorabilia and memories. He’s heavily credited with helping the s-l1600sport grow on television, for his personable demeanor, his countless businesses and, of course, his performances against rivals.

“We loved him with a mythic American joy,” his biographer, James Dodson, told GolfWeek. “He represented everything that is great about golf. The friendship, the fellowship, the laughter, the impossibility of golf, the sudden rapture moment that brings you back, a moment that you never forget, that’s Arnold Palmer in spades. He’s the defining figure in golf.”

He won seven majors and 62 tournaments in his career and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2004 — and even that can be found among his trading cards.

Buzz Poll: Are you collecting Eagles QB Carson Wentz … and is he legit?

2016-Panini-Spectra-football-carson-wentz

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz is among the hottest rookies on cardboard today — if not the hottest — but how do you see him faring on the field?

His first two opponents — the Browns and the Bears — may not have been as stout as people expected, but in the first half of play on Sunday against the Steelers, he was 18-for-25 for 183 yards and a touchdown. And, just now, he just added a 73-yard touchdown early in the third quarter, making a good start look even better.

And that means we have a couple questions for you collectors out there …
