Topps releases 2018 Topps Series 1 baseball card checklist

We’re just two weeks away from the arrival of 2018 Topps Series 1 baseball cards and Topps has revealed the checklist of what will be included once the first set of the new season arrives.

We learned yesterday that will be more than 40 players getting the RC logo and nod in the set, which is set to arrive on Jan. 31, but now we know everybody else.

We’re just 15 days away from the arrival of 2018 Topps Series 1 baseball cards and Topps has revealed the players who will have their official Rookie Cards in its flagship product.

Million Dollar Arm’s Rinku Singh starts WWE career today

You may be seeing Rinku Singh on cardboard once again.

Back in 2009, he was one of two pitchers signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates out of Lucknow, India, and their stories of how that happened ended up becoming a Disney movie. But today he joins professional wrestling hopefuls under contract at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla.

Topps Industry Conference debuts next month in Scottsdale, Arizona

Topps has revealed some new info for its inaugural Industry Conference set for next month in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Set in the heart of the Cactus League just as play begins, the conference will include several speakers during the three-day event. Check-ins and a welcome reception are set for the evening of Sunday, Feb. 18 before the full slate begins the following day at the Talking Stick Resort.

eBay Buzz: This 1968 Topps Nolan Ryan Rookie Card is how much?


It’s not new and fresh from a pack, but the price tag attached?

Well, it’s a jaw-dropper.

It’s a nearly perfect copy of Nolan Ryan‘s 1968 Topps Rookie Card — a hobby classic that’s chased by both New Yorkers who remember his early days with an iconic World Series-winning team, but also the fans of a rugged Texan who struck out more players than anyone else in MLB history. (And maybe by a few Jerry Koosman fans, too.)

Is it worth that? Perhaps to the right deep-pocketed collector — but maybe not for that much, though Ryan was MLB’s first million-dollar-a-year player when he signed with the Houston Astros in 1980.
