David Johnson, Josh Norman & Danny Woodhead among NFL’s most Buzz-worthy players in Week 15

David-Johnson-Playbook

It doesn’t take much for a running back to establish himself quickly these days — and it doesn’t take much for one to fade into obscurity, either — but one started that two-part journey with a big arrival game of sorts under the Sunday Night Football spotlight.

It’s Arizona’s David Johnson, who ran for a league-leading 187 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-17 win over the Eagles.

It was his third straight week of 92 yards or more but he’d gone scoreless in those other games, leaving him off Buzz’s radar — also probably since he’s a Cardinal, not on a team that gets much hobby attention. You can find his RCs throughout this year’s NFL lineup from Panini America and Topps. For the season, he has 517 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

Keep reading for four more guys who generated some buzz on the field this week.

Newton— Cam Newton The likely MVP and his undefeated team won a close one once again this week but it’s hard to deny the numbers that made the game not look even close at times. He finished with 340 yards passing, 100 yards rushing and five touchdowns through the air. If you haven’t picked up your favorite auto of his, you may have a lot more competition the rest of the season.

JoshNorman— Josh Norman The Panther you might not know but did after Sunday was this CB, who was on the receiving end of plenty of Odell Beckham Jr. Meltdown Madness, including a helmet to his jaw. Sure, Norman dished out some antagonistic moments but only one of the two players lost hobby points. Norman barely has any cardboard as it is — so attention like this won’t hurt him at all even though his fines will.

AntonioBrown— Antonio Brown Buzz is still trying to figure out what’s more impressive for this Steelers WR — the 16 catches or the 189 yards and two touchdowns. Either way, this 2010 rookie class member has put up a monster season and you should already know all about him. He’s been here before.

Woodhead— Danny Woodhead Remember when he was a hot player in the hobby simply because he had very little cardboard and he was a Patriot back in 2010? He had a monster game with the Chargers on Sunday, catching three touchdown passes and running in another. His yardage wasn’t great on either side, but consider that his team only scored 30 points in the win over the Dolphins. Big day for the little guy.
