What’s buzz-worthy: Topps joins Bowman in the Tek world this season with a release that promises “more cards, more patterns and more variations.”

The Basics: Every pack will include five pattern parallel cards and at least three serial-numbered cards atop of the two autographs found inside. Each case will include one SpecTEKular Diffractor numbered to no more than 15 copies. The base set size was not revealed but there will be two patterns for starters each with Blackout parallels that will be found a total of five times per box. Atop these there will be other pattern variations to chase and the basic patterns will have six other parallels — Tidal Diffractor (/TBD), Green Rainbow (/99), Blue Rainbow (/50), Orange Magma (/25), Red Orbit (/10) and Gold Galactic (1/1). … All insert cards will be numbered to no more than 50 copies with Jubilation, Rookie Tek, TwiliTEK and image variations among them. Jubilation will focus on walk-off moments and celebrations, while TwiliTEK will offer “a scene reminiscent of an evening twilight.” Each of these insert will have a 1/1 Gold Galactic Diffractor version. … There will be autographed versions of every insert along with buyback Tek autos (/10) and a rainbow of ink for the standard Tek autos here. They will include Green Rainbow (/TBD), Blackout (/TBD), Blue Rainbow (/50), Orange Magma (/25), Red Orbit (/10) and 1/1 Gold Galactic versions.
