New York Yankees prospect Gleyber Torres joins Topps Authentics team

New York Yankees fans will have a new place to land autographs of their future star infielder Gleyber Torres.

He’s joined the Topps Authentics team, Topps’ autographed memorabilia division, where his pieces will now be found on an exclusive basis.

“I’m happy to be part of this big family,” said Torres in a prepared statement. “I’m happy to be here and [for] everything Topps has done for me.”

Signed bats and baseballs will be up first from Topps, which announced the deal on Wednesday. He joins a roster of Topps Authentics players, which also includes Carlos Correa, Francisco Lindor, Luis Severino and Mickey Moniak to name a few.

In four minor-league seasons, Torres has 23 homers and 197 RBI while hitting .282 in 356 games. The 20-year-old had seven homers and 34 RBI in 55 games this season, which he entered as Baseball America‘s No. 5 prospect on its Top 100.

On cardboard he appears on just over 400 different cards with less than 150 of those being certified autographs. His earliest autographs are found back in 2013 releases but he’s had at least one autographed card in every year since 2015.
