What’s buzz-worthy: The 50th anniversary of Star Trek‘s arrival continues on cardboard with a look at the women in the sci-fi franchise’s extensive universe.

The Basics: The base set will consist of 100 cards with it all having a metal parallel version, too. Insert sets will include Women in Command (nine cards), Quotable (18 cards) and an 18-card Women of Star Trek Gold Metal set. …. Sketch cards will be found one per case. … There will be more than 50 signers for this release with Vanessa Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Marina Sirtis, Jeri Ryan, Yvonne Craig and Kristanna Loken among them. Costume cards will be found for a number of characters here with Guinan, Seven of Nine, T’Pol, B’Elanna Torres, Beverly Crusher, Jennifer Sisko, Keiko O’Brien, Vash and Anij among them. … Case incentives will include a Nichelle Nichols auto for six cases, a Charles Hall sketch card for nine cases and an Archive Box with an exclusive Terri Garr auto and a one-card printing plate rainbow inside in addition to all other cards. … An album with a bonus promo card also will be made with four albums per case.

Update: Two costume cards not previously detailed will have limited distribution. A Yeoman Rand card will be inserted into standard packs but not in Archive Boxes, while a Seven of Nine will be found only in Archive Boxes.
