Buzz Break: 2017 Spring Fever baseball card repack

From time to time, Buzz will break a box of something and post the results here. Like this and want to see more? Or maybe there’s a box you’d want to see busted? Send Buzz an email at BlowoutBuzz@blowoutcards.com.

The box: 2017 Spring Fever baseball cards repack (created by MJ Holding Co.)
Where from:
Walmart ($11.98)

What was in this one? Keep reading …

Packs per box: 10 assorted baseball packs plus one covers card (in most instances)

Covers (2) — Gary Sanchez & Corey Seager (/5,000) and Kris Bryant & Anthony Rizzo (/999)

Autographs/Memorabilia: 2 (inside the packs)
2007 Upper Deck Goudey memorabilia (1) – Jim Edmonds
2010 Topps MLB All-Star Relics (1) – Matt Holliday

What’s Buzz-worthy: You can see all of the packs that were in this box in the gallery below as well as a few of the few highlights from the packs. This box delivered well, especially for its price as an impulse buy (since it’s new). Each box contains one of six dual covers cards and every 30th box included a rarer Bryant/Rizzo — and this was that box since there were two bonus cards inside. Interestingly, the Topps Relic came out of the retail pack (one in 104 packs) in this one and not from the hobby pack. Besides the hits, which definitely were a surprise, this box was relatively dry but still a win because of the covers cards and the hits. It did have a decent range of older packs — 2006 to 2010 — which also felt fresh compared to them being filled with lesser-value packs from recent years.
