Topps reveals new autograph inclusions for 2017 Topps Tribute

There will be some new features in 2017 Topps Tribute when it arrives later this month and chief among them will be some new autographs that weren’t available back in September when this one was announced.

The biggest one? Former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who signed with the company in November. His ink will be found in Tribute Autographs and the Generations of Excellence Autographs sets.

What else is in play? Keep reading …

Joining Jeter on Generations of Excellence, which are described as “layered, multi-image cards,” will be Hank Aaron, Sandy Koufax, Cal Ripken Jr. and Mike Piazza to name a few.

Tribute Tandems book autos are back with pairings that include Evan Longoria and Jose Canseco, Sandy Koufax and Clayton Kershaw, Bryce Harper and Ken Griffey Jr., Noah Syndergaard and Nolan Ryan.

Rookie autographs to be found here will include Yoan Moncada, Alex Bregman, Andrew Benintendi, Dansby Swanson, Aaron Judge and Tyler Glasnow.

Tribute to the Moment Continuity Autos will be found one per case with their biggest moments focused upon in the set. Among the autographs there will be Mike Trout, Ichiro Suzuki, Kershaw, Barry Bonds and Ryan, while there also will be Walk-off Autographs that focus on memorable finishes with the likes of David Ortiz, Mark McGwire and Griffey Jr. There also will be Duel Autographs that spotlight pitcher showdowns such as Randy Johnson and Andy Pettitte, David Cone and Tom Glavine as well as pitcher-batter combos such as Koufax vs. Aaron, Johnson vs. John Kruk and Ryan vs. Reggie Jackson.

On the memorabilia side there will be Dual Relics, which will be MLB Authenticated for both players’ pieces on the card — a first for the company. Some duos there are Adam Jones and Manny Machado, Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve as well as Felix Hernandez and Robinson Cano.
