The first of the First Off The Line products from Panini America is here.
What’s First Off The Line? It’s a new program where a small fraction of the print run for a product arrives early with an extra inside the boxes carrying the program’s notation.
The first product for this experiment of sorts sold out quickly via Panini and it’s 2016-17 Panini Immaculate Collection, and it includes green in every box.
The green is an Emerald parallel card (/5) that is only found in every First Off box for this one, giving a bit of an extra for those ripping into boxes from this part of the run for a product that’s not set to arrive until Wednesday.
“The products included in the ‘1st Off The Line’ program are traditionally some of the most popular across our portfolio,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop at the time of the program’s announcement. “The addition of limited availability, exclusive content and early access on the ‘1st Off The Line’ versions will create additional excitement and anticipation among collectors.”
BlowoutCards.com bought some of the run from Panini and the two you see above are from the first boxes from BlowoutTV, which busted it on Monday morning. A small number of boxes will be available via the main site, too.
Panini announced that NBA releases for the First Off program will include 2016-17 Flawless, 2017-18 Prizm, 2017-18 Select and 2017-18 National Treasures. The NFL products will include 2017 Prizm, 2017 Contenders and 2017 National Treasures, while baseball releases will include 2017 National Treasures, Flawless, 2018 Diamond Kings and 2018 Immaculate Collection.
