What’s Buzz-worthy: The color and energy of Donruss on the football field is echoed here with vibrant Rated Rookies — and a ton of them — and inserts per box. The only oddity to this collector? The bronze-bordered base cards — they instantly make me think of parallels, probably because there are Bronze parallels in the football version of this release. Every blaster box includes a hit and this one included a serial-numbered card of an NBA legend, too, while packing at least three of the key RCs and a number of good names among the inserts. All in all, this felt like it delivered pretty well for a blaster — and there can definitely be better boxes out there as they can have autographs as well as other more-notable rookies on the memorabilia cards. If you’re a collector, this should be one to consider every time you hit the shop — just for the fun factor alone.
